Yahoo! needed to energize their overall brand and looked to the upcoming Fantasy Football season as a moment in time to essentially go all in. They wanted to go big. Knowing Fantasy Football was all about dominating your friends…we went with Win At Football as the campaign theme and focused creative efforts on coming up with concepts that showcased next levels of trash talk– like using wifi passwords, bringing ex-girlfriends back, changing your kid’s name, or letting your pet parrot handle it.
RESULTS
Videos on youtube gained over 30 million views, completely blowing out all prior benchmarks by the brand. The overall campaign was ROI positive at 119% with positive lift across all brand metrics. Aided awareness for Fantasy Football up 10% and retention was 66.9% on league participation rom the year prior, the highest ever.
